I began painting seriously in \’04. Prior to that I had only been painting the odd miniature here and there to use as dnd figures. I\’ve always considered myself a \’neat\’ painter, but in \’04 I began teaching myself the more advanced painting techniques. I didn\’t only want my miniatures to look neat, I wanted them to look pretty as well
I\’m pleased with the progress I have made and I think I have successfully achieved a \’neat and pretty\’ look in regards to my miniatures *chuckle*
I paint miniatures because I love the end result. It\’s almost like I can give a miniature their own tiny personality or soul, just by adding a touch of colour. Sound corny, I know.
I took a rather long hiatus from painting when I got pregnant with my daughter in 2006. I had no inspiration whatsoever, I used to say that all my creative juices were being directed elsewhere at the time
It is now 2009 and I have decided to try and get back into the hobby and redo my entire website. Crazy? Perhaps. Potentially frustrating? Most likely.
A year or so ago I got into sculpting with polymer clay. I\’ve sculpted a few little babies and a fairy so far. I need a lot more practise but eventually I hope to be able to sculpt some 28mm miniatures of my own. That would be rad.
When I am not painting miniatures or sculpting I enjoy chatting with friends on the net, playing dnd, reading fantasy novels, watching b-grade horror and scifi movies, playing Rock Band on my 360 and eating stuff. Mmm stuff.
