Her nose is too big.

My brother asked me a little while ago if I could try and sculpt some cake toppers for his wedding. I told him I would try but to not hold his breath since I haven\’t been sculpting for very long and have no idea if I can turn anything out that doesn\’t look like a lump of retarded clay.

Anyway I started sculpting a head yesterday just to see how I go. It looks nothing like him or his bride to be, but it\’s a start. I\’ve made a smaller head armature since sculpting this because I think it is too big.

Her nose is too big. I\’m slowly trying to carefully sculpt it back and I might make her nostrils smaller as well.  Apart from that I\’m not sure, the nose is all I see when I look at her so it\’s hard for me to figure out what else is wrong at the moment.

Later I will hold some fairy hair up to her head and see if she looks prettier. I want to try and put eyelashes on her as well. Being a non-girly-girl I have no fake eyelashes at my disposal so I will have to make them out of the lambs wool. Should be interesting. I will probably make a mess of it but it\’s good practise.

She\’s too big to be a caketopper so the smaller armature would work better. Hopefully I can make something decent enough for my brother to use on his cake. Doesn\’t matter if he doesn\’t like it though.

I also started painting a Spyglass Monique today. I\’ve done all of ten brushstrokes on the thing because Ava was exceptionally clingy this afternoon. Oh well.
I\’m going to do nmm (non-metallic-metals) this time. Metallics suck… well they do on small miniatures… when I\’m painting.

Anyhoo, that\’s all I have to report. Still trying to solve that stupid Ten Grand is Buried Here competition. It\’s fucking with my head. *shakes a fist*
